The request flow
ClientStack is request intake software that you run on your own server. A person describes a need in their own words. You set the questions, criteria, and rules that determine the next step.
- The person opens a public link.
- The person answers your first question.
- Jev checks the answer against your criteria.
- ClientStack applies your published rules.
- The request continues with a follow-up question, completes with an outcome, or hands off to a person.
Each accepted answer uses one Jev call for all criteria. You write every question and the summary template. Jev does not write replies.
The AI provider
Jev is the only supported AI model. TypeSafe provides Jev through its API. Connect your own TypeSafe account before you accept live requests.
ClientStack sends the applicant text and your criteria to TypeSafe for evaluation. Jev returns structured judgments. ClientStack applies your rules to those judgments. Self-hosting does not run the AI model on your server.

Who does what
A manager builds and publishes request types. An agent reads requests and handles handoffs. An owner manages team membership and API tokens.
An applicant submits a request without an account. An integrator uses the API to put intake into another product. An installation administrator manages the server-level product settings and account onboarding.
Account ownership and installation administration do not give access to team content. Each person needs a team membership.
What a stack means
On the website, a stack is a visual way to show an outcome such as Billing or Needs a person. In the product, use the labels Request type, Outcome, and Inbox.
An outcome records a decision. It does not send a ticket to an external helpdesk. An integrator can read the outcome through the API and perform that action.

- Handle requests in the inbox if you work on handoffs.
- Install ClientStack if you operate the server.
- Use the API if you build an integration.
Names in the screenshots
ClientStack is the new product name. Some source screenshots show Intake, the previous working name. Jev remains the name of the model that TypeSafe provides. All screenshots in these docs use sample data.
